The story of Hope, the "sorcerer" child, has gone around the world and, surely, you yourself will have found this same news shared on your social networks. However, from Lifestyle also We want to reflect on these shocking images that should not leave us indifferent.
We are in Nigeria, and this is where Anja Ringgren Loven, an activist and founder of the African Children's Aid Education and Development Foundation that has a very clear purpose: to save all those children accused by their parents of being "sorcerers."
And we believe it or not dozens of creatures are wandering in these same moments aimlessly through the streets of Nigeria, malnourished, hiding in alleys of glances and contempt to the point of end up dying in solitude. The reason why they are labeled as sorcerers is something that despite not understanding and removing our consciences , represents the mentali Many people from these countries too clinging to the most archaic traditions.
An accident, a bad harvest, a sudden injury, the breaking of some object or a strange behavior of the own child, they can make parents reject them instantly, thinking that inside them lives the Evil, that they are witches.Terrible without a doubt, and it is for all these children for whom Anja fights every day, an angel with blond hair and tattooed skin who wanted to share with the world the experience he lived in January this year.
We tell you.
The story of the abandoned child «Being a WITCH»
We do not know the name of this little boy of little more than 2 years. However, after being rescued by Anja he received the best of the names: Hope (hope).
I wandered around the outskirts of Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, a city of contrasts and hyperpopulated where the many looks, in an inexplicable lack of humanity, they barely held on this wobbly, naked and malnourished creature that as a lost soul, and unable to understand why he had been rejected, he just hoped someone would give him something to eat.

That morning there was Received the warning that a girl "witch" was walking alone through a village on the outskirts, but when they went there they could not find her.Disappointed, and almost about to get back into the car, a butcher of dogs (unfortunately, it is common to consume dog meat in many of these scenarios) I indicated that not very near there was another child abandoned by his parents.
Fortunately, it was not long before he found him when Anja Ringgren found him I immediately get that small supply that saves for these cases: cookies, water, isotonic drinks...After that first contact came the ab razo and that blanket with which to wrap it.Then, they had to "ask permission" from the community to take it .Something that is not exactly complicated, just offer some money and a bottle of whiskey.

But the treatment for Hope was very delicate, he needed transfusions, a treatment to remove all the worms that inhabited his intestine, and adequate care to prevent him from dying due to the high degree of malnutrition he presented.serious.As amazing as it may seem, Hope managed to resist 8 months of surviving everything she found in the garbage. Terrible.
Anya posted the images of the child on social networks and He asked for help. Can you imagine what happened then? After only 2 days I managed to raise a million dollars. The miracle had worked, and not only for Hope, but for 35 more children, who already have an orphanage where it is expected, no doubt, rescue many more in the coming months.

Hope is fine, he has recovered and his face, has discovered a gesture he barely knew: smile. Now enjoy the love he receives, and open his eyes to a world that has given him life again and offers him security. He is not a sorcerer, Hope does not bring bad luck, he is a precious child who feels fortunate to have found Anja.
Unfortunately, not all stories have a good ending. Many of these children are killed, others die alone, and those who survive, especially those who are a little older than Hope are traumatized..Hopefully some day will come when this type of event will stop being news because things have changed, because mentalities have become humanized.
