Pets are our companions in the home, many have so much affection for them that they treat them as if they were a “family member” more.If you have a pet and you are a smoker maybe this motivates you to turn off the cigar forever.
Dr.Daniel Bustos, representative of the Cardiovascular Franchise of Pfizer Central America and the Caribbean, comments that smokers' pets, in this case dogs and cats, are the ones that develop more health problems caused by the cigarette smoke from their owners .
"According to one study, it is curious and alarming to observe that the pets of those who smoke have or develop many more diseases than animals that have healthy owners" explains Dr.Bustos.
Diseases in dogs
A report prepared by the Austrian Pulmonology Society states that dogs have a high risk of developing malignant nose tumor , and more if they have a long snout. This is due to the structure of their nar iz since they have a smell 50 times more developed than the human being, so cigar smoke toxins affect them much more.
The study concludes that a dog that lives with smokers is 60 % more chance of developing lung cancer.

Diseases in cats
In the case of cats develop tongue cancer .This is because they spend many hours cleaning the hair of the body with the tongue, the toxins of the cigar adhere to the fur of the animal and when it is cleaned, absorbs all the toxins of tobacco .
Also the smoke of the Cigarette triples the risk of developing lymphoma, a frequent tumor in cats.
The habit of smoking is still deeply rooted in society, despite the fact that bells are made so that young people do not smoke, open clinics and show ar raw photographs of the effects of the cigar.A breakthrough has been achieved, but it must be continued. However, there are still smokers who do not realize the great damage they cause, we no longer talk about the damage itself, but other people and now even their pets.
If they haven't had enough motivation to quit smoking, probably knowing that they can cause the death of their favorite pet moves them, now yes, to leave the cigar forever.
