Yes, there is a movement for the voluntary extinction of human life .It will seem incredible to many but it is so.We will know more about this strange group , whose ideas, if not more, will make us reflect on life on earth.
Ideology
The name of the group is VHEMT .What is this group looking for? It seeks that human life end on Earth and that this be done voluntarily.Getting the human beings to refrain from reproducing .If we do not reproduce, gradually and finally, we will end up becoming extinct. Why? Because they believe that men are harmful to the planet , that the degradation of the environment and the suffering and extinction of many species are a consequence of the on human population .
They believe that the inhabitants of developed countries are the main guilty for the amount of resources they consume and animals are more important than any human achievement, for example, art. They reject the control of the population by governments, since for them this has to be something voluntary .They believe that people have to live a long time, be very happy but not reproduce, to reach gradual extinction.
Origin of the movement
The movement originates in 1991 from the ideas of Les U.Knight , an American member of a very large family.Mr.Knight was a member of several environmental organizations but he thought it was not enough, that the action to save the planet had must necessarily go through the extinction of life on earth. So yes, voluntarily. If we stop having children, the Earth will be saved .To achieve that goal try to convince how many people can, and To give an example, a vasectomy was done at age 25 .
He started editing a magazine and currently has a website where he exposes his ideas and tries to convince possible followers.
The future
Actually the movement has few adherents , but the media have echoed it.Perhaps they have given voice to try to raise awareness to P oblation of that part of truth that contains its message the human race is ending the planet .
Although many think that the reproductive instinct of the human being is greater than any ideology and that this movement is impossible to succeed, invites you to think of future generations and what world we are going to leave them to.
And you? What do you think? Do you think they are right? Should the human race be extinguished? If you are interested in nature and population issues, you may want to know the most isolated population in the world.
