Some couples are joined by something much more perverse than love , they are capable of committing the most terrible crimes without the slightest remorse, as in the case of Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka , better known as the murderers Barbie and Ken, discover their chilling story.

Born to kill?

Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka , both from Ontario, Canada , met in 1987, when Paul was 23 years old and Karla 17, an hour after their first meeting they were already in the bed, supposedly it was love at first sight.

These two young men were extremely handsome and popular , hence the nickname Barbie and Ken .Paul provenia from a problematic family , her childhood was not the most idyllic.However, Karla came from a family of close Czech origin , had two other younger sisters and a co-life Just normal, with no record of any kind of abuse or violence.

When Karla met Paul, he immediately told her about his fantasies of raping other women , especially if they They were virgins.Surprisingly, Karla accepted this fact and even offered to help him fulfill these fantasies.

It was like that, as in the summer of 1990 Paul proposes Karla to deflect her little sister, Tammy Homolka .Karla accepts and collaborates by drugging her 15-year-old sister , so that she was unconscious while Paul was raping her, they did so and also recorded while they performed the grotesque act.However, Tammy, still unconscious, began to vomit and of course not even Karla and Paul helped her, so the girl died drowned in her own vomit , after that Karla got his sister's clothes and had sex with Paul, so he could finish to fulfill his fantasy.

After Tammy, there were many other victims who were raped, sodomized and killed by both Karla and Paul and almost all of them recordings that confirm it, since the couple liked to record themselves to remember those moments of excitement.

Judgment and sentence

This aberrant marriage was accused of raping and kill three teenage girls and in addition to sexually abusing dozens of women .However, during the trial and after several negotiations, Karla agreed to testify against her husband , Paul Bernardo, blaming him basically of all that happened, for that reason, Karla obtained a sentence of just 12 years in prison , while Paul did get the maximum sentence , that is, life imprisonment.

There was a lot of controversy regarding the trial of Karla and Paul, as many said that in the negotiations the main objective was to arrest Paul and they did not mind significantly reducing Karla's sentence as long as it became in a reliable witness, that's how they presented "the Barbie" as a victim who had to do such terrible acts because Paul forced her.However, in the Karla video tapes she is so funny and interested as her husband.Unfortunately, the investigation lost its course a bit by not presenting Karla as the predator she actually was.

Paul was a man with problems since childhood , but Karla had a home, love and a normal life. What could lead her to accept and participate in such aberrant acts, even against her own sister?
